College Visits

Hello Friends,
I haven't written for a while because I have been traveling visiting colleges. What fun I had. Through Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and other states we drove stopping at colleges, checking things out and just enjoying the vast differences. I usually travel in February which is a great time to check out colleges. The students have begun the second semester and they are in the thick of studying. Campuses are not all dolled up with blooming shrubs so I get a real feel for winter on a college campus.

The other time I like to visit is in May during finals right before graduation. How a college works during finals, especially when the sun is shining and everything is in bloom, tells me a great deal about the college as well. Having that perspective is important to the overall analysis of a college.

I am eager to share my findings with you. It was a memorable trip, made especially valuable because the company I had along the way, the people we met, how safely we traveled and our good selection of audio books.
