Summertime

Hello Friends,
It's summertime. I don't know about you, but the summer light is a joy for me. I crave the warmth and the feeling of being outdoors. However, some parents are believing that the college application should be all wrapped up at this time.

Come on. Let's be real here. Some colleges don't even have their Web sites up and running right now because they are revamping their applications, essay prompts, adding various new parts to the application, etc.

Being in the northeast, it's not easy to be grinding away at a desk or computer when the sun has finally presented itself to us poor cold Mainers. Let's enjoy the weather, the outdoors a bit, have some fun in the sand and the surf; try bike riding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and eat some barbeque.

August will be here soon enough and we can all kick back into high gear. Believe me we are in good shape right now. Relax and enjoy each other for the month of July.

We will be working diligently soon enough.
Sincerely,

Your College Connection,
Brenda Breton

We had a difficult visit at NYU. Although a tour was passing through the library, we were not allowed to enter. We must have looked investigative.

We loved the campus despite Marcel not being allowed in the union.

We loved this campus and the little village. The student union was superb and the students appeared less stressed. The student working in the bookstore was especially eager to share her positive experiences at the college.
