Here is the written version:
Sit
with Someone New At Lunchtime
High school can be cliquey, but you don't have to let the
unofficial lunch table social map always dictate where you sit. Branch out one
day by sitting with someone who's totally outside your group,
Register To Vote
This one's a must for those who are soon to be of legal age.
Voting is your right as an American citizen -- so be sure to exercise it!
Say 'Yes' To Everything For One Day
Within reason, of course -- but answering in the affirmative
to every request and invitation for a day is a great exercise in thinking and
acting positively. You might finding yourself saying "yes" more often
afterwards!
Plan an Epic Promposal
When it comes to prom, there's practically no such thing as
going overboard. Until you get engaged, it's your only opportunity to declare
your affection for someone in a super-fun, completely over-the-top way. And you
never know -- it could go viral on YouTube!
Make A Sincere Apology To Someone You Hurt During
High School
We've all made mistakes in high school and done or said
something that we regretted afterwards. Let someone in your life -- whether
it's a former friend, ex-flame or family member -- know that you you're sorry
with a heartfelt apology letter or email.
Wear Something Bold To School Just Because You
Love It
Take a cue from Lady Gaga and wear something totally crazy
and out-there to school -- just because it's awesome. Who cares what anyone
else things? You might even get some unexpected compliments on it.
Have An Amazing, Movie-Worthy Kiss
Whether it's early in the morning on an empty football field
or outside when the snow is falling, an epic, unforgettable kiss (or two, or
three...) is a senior-year must.
Create Your Resume
Before you graduate, make sure to put together your
experiences, awards and achievements in a polished resume. You'll need it as a
starting point in college when you start really building up your work
experience.
Go 24 Hours Without Internet, Phone Or TV
If the thought of going for an entire day without Twitter
makes you start to twitch, you probably could use 24 hours of unplugging and
recharging. Just noticing how many times you instinctively reach for your phone
or the remote will help loosen the gadgets' grip on you.
Write A Letter To Your Best Friend
And tell them to open it one year in the future. He or she
will appreciate looking back at your friendship and remembering the good old
times when you two have been apart for a year at college.
Have A 'Senior Year' Movie Marathon
The glory of senior year has been immortalized in countless
teen movies, from '80s John Hughes flicks to "Can't Hardly Wait" to
"American Pie" to High School Musical 3: Senior Year." Find
copies of a few favorite and invite your friends over for a night of movie
marathoning.
Buy A College Sweatshirt From The School You're
Attending
And proudly wear it to class. Showing your pride for the
college you'll be attending is a great way to get yourself excited and ready
for the four years ahead of you.
Tell Your Favorite Teacher How Much They Meant To
You
All of us have at least one teacher who's have a profound
impact on us. Before you graduate, make sure you let that teacher know how much
they influenced you -- trust us, they'll appreciate it.
Train For & Run A 10K Or Half-Marathon
Training for a 5K, 10K or half-marathon is a great way to
challenge yourself and get in shape. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or not,
you'll love the rush of crossing the finish line.
Go For A Day Without Creating Any Waste
Sometimes we don't even realize how much waste we create
each day, but between coffee cups, soda cans, paper towels and shopping bags,
it can add up to a LOT. Go waste-free for a day by avoiding disposable food
wrappers, and paper and plastic-derived throw-away items.
See A Band You've Never Heard Before Play
Just for fun, branch out and discover a new band by going to
see someone play whose music you've never heard before. Even if you're not into
the tunes, it's a great way to discover a new venue, meet new people and get
out of your comfort zone.
Go To A Football Game At Your School
Show a little school spirit while you still can! Even if
you're not a sports fan, you won't regret taking the opportunity to get pumped
up for a Friday night football game with your friends.
Go To Prom! (Or An Alternative Prom)
We get it -- prom isn't for everyone. But celebrating the
end of high school is something that no one should miss out on, so make sure to
either go to prom or throw an alternative-prom bash with your closest friends.
Why miss an opportunity to dress up and dance the night away with your BFFs?
Ask Someone You've Never Talked To (But Always
Been Interested In) To Sign Your Yearbook
Do you have a high school crush who you never actually
talked to but always secretly loved from afar? Ask him or her to sign your yearbook
-- you might be pleasantly surprised at the message they leave you, and at the
very least, you can be proud that you finally worked up the courage to confront
them.
Say Thank You To Everyone Who Supported You For
The Past 4 Years
Because you know you could never have gotten through it
alone.
